So tonight was the chorus concert.
First, Golden Blues did their ballad and dance. During the ballad, I noticed that Ryan (who was Emily's partner) had no expression on his face, but overall, the ballad was good. The dance was pretty good, too. Golden Blues is fun to watch, especially when you get in a Really Happy Girl.
Chorus One. Woo. This one girl--when the dancers on Stupid Cupid went to change into the dresses (like Miss America speed)-- the back of her dress was half-unzipped. I'm sure she was mortified. They were better than I thought.
Serenata is going to do well this year, I think. They sounded great.
Chamber...woo. I Delight went well, so did Madrigal Madness. I'm always scared to sing the first note on Agnus Dei, so I mouthed it and let Kevin and Ian take it. Go team. Er...Misty...probably went flat, but sounded good. And then Stand On The Rock. May I just say that my eyes darted around like mad during Liz's solo and everything I saw was shock or a big grin because her voice is so unique and interesting. And then Kevin sang and it was good too. And then Emily...heh...I was so proud of her, man. First off, homegirl can sing, and second, she can sing well.
Concert Choir...eh. The songs didn't last long and I was tired of all of them except Honor And Glory. But it was good.
Good concert. I'm glad it's over, but I'll miss some of the songs.
we'll probably sing some good ones for festival. mayhaps I delight.
