Listening to: library chatter
First: I find the fact that inside the library, my diary is purple quite scary.
Community Changers was great. It really was. I wasn't expecting to be wowed or anything, and I wasn't, but it was fun.
Michael was my roommate, which was ok but pretty annoying sometimes. Like when I wanted to go to bed but he'd keep going down the hallway and not settling down so that I could sleep. I woke him up almost every morning, but he didn't wake me up for dinner when I almost missed it one night. Plus half the drama in our youth group is caused by him running his mouth.
Alane couldn't tough it out, so she went home on the second night. I think that's pretty lame, but hey, what can you do?
Andrea, Laura, and Lisa are way too much fun. And Christie is turning out to be a pretty and charming teenager (she just finished 7th grade). Andrew was his usual annoying self. We started out this trip okay, but the night he brought his cell phone into worship and was passing text message notes with Lisa against her will, I had just had enough and started being pretty unfriendly. He's very stubborn and rude and doesn't respect anybody. He's gay, and he REALLY overdoes the queeny snappy diva thing, which makes me wonder if he just says he's gay for attention.
I think I'm coming into my own with the adult leaders though, because I talked to Jody and Jacob and Ryan on their level and not mine most of the time. I was already that way with Joy, though.
My crew was great. Well, most of them. I think I'll miss Jess and Shantel most of all. We painted a house and replaced boards. That's about it. It took the whole time, though.
All in all, it was a great trip, despite this negatively themed entry, whose alternate title is Intermission, because I am going to Ridgecrest next week.
In other news, I spoke with my roommate twice. His name is Daniel, he's from Florence, and he's a pretty cool sounding guy. He's a soccer player. He's also a partier, which came at no surprise. He went to the June orientation at Lander and got drunk one night. I told him straight out that I don't drink, but that I have no problem picking him up if he's too drunk to drive.
That's...about it, I guess. Barnes & Noble tonight. Joy and I need to download and Kim and I need to catch up on our gossip and news.
There's still paint on my jelly bracelets. It's good to have a permanment reminder of the good you did for somebody.
maybe your computer is just screwed up.
