dreaming

As he said goodbye she woke with a sigh and he kissed her drowzy head. She blinked her eyes and "please don't die" was the only thing she said. He rose and left his ears where deaf to her cries of "please dont go!" she knew on his trip he would fatefully slip to his death 60 feet below. Her love was gone her hope was drawn Oh she knew what she would give, if the bells did ring and the angels sing, anything if he would live. So the angel came with wings of flame and a deep ethreal voice, "I heard your wish with a true loves kiss so go on and make your choice." With gloomy mind she thought how kind her lover had always been, though in early years he had with peers committed many a sin. Her eyes did tear, and she had fear but her decision was true. She'd hold in her heart though they would soon part his eyes of loving blue. "If you let him stay I'll pass away to heavans gates above. I'll give it all and save his fall because it's him I love." The angel smiled his eyes where wild his judgment true and strong. He'd let her love live for she did give the will to pass along. He then held her hand to leave the land, "then come my dying lass, please say farewell to earth and hell for now its time to pass." They rose up so high to the deep blue sky and they passed the crimson veil, To the king of death With his firey breath And his pointed scarlet tail. Upon his head where horns of red with a black wavy mane. He gave a grin, one of dark sin "I am so glad you came." "Welcome to death!" And his dragon breath did make her cringe with fear "Now listen to me you're allowed one plea so use it with much care." "There are two doors upon the floor choose one you think is best If you choose the wrong then you'll sing the song eternity of unrest" In deaths gray walls she heard the calls of demons and angels in song. the doors where two one black one blue she hoped her instinct was not wrong. She moved towards the two closed doors and heard her lovers voice. She cried for him and in the dim He helped her make the choice. To the blue she stepped And she gratefully wept when she saw the rolling feilds. But she looked back once more and within the door she closed her eyes and kneeled. "I have one last thing," She said to the king, the ruler of life and death. A tear came to her eye "please let me say bye to my lover still on the earth." All souls looked to the king who gave her white wings to go back down to the world. She lifted her head and flew from the dead her bright feathered wings where unfurled. As she said goodbye he woke with a sigh and she kissed his drowzy head. there where tears in his eyes and his voice spoke no lies "I wish that you weren't dead."
