The lightning lit the dark sky and thunder clashed through the atmosphere. An eletrical line snapped from its stop and fell onto the ground. It landed in a puddle of flowing water and sent sparks through the road. People ran for safety from the murderous storm in stores or dry alleys. Two kids ran down along the sidewalk laughing. Hand in hand, they watched everyone flee from the storm and they only laughed harder.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of a racing engine and the boy looked over his shoulder. A jeep came tearing down the road in their direction and skidded to a stop next to them. The boy's eyes widened instantly and he tugged on the girl's hand. She looked at the jeep and together they started to run. When they rounded a corner, two hands snatched the girl from the boy and she screamed.
The boy looked back and saw the stranger carrying her off. His eyes narrowed and then he saw another guy coming his way. He shook his head and ran down the alley trying to escape. When he came to a dead end, he looked around for an escape and then two hands grabbed him. He yelled and struggled to get free until he was thrown into the back of the jeep.
The man bound him with ropes and taped his mouth shut. Then the doors were closed and the boy looked to his left. He saw her watching him and he looked at the driver's head. If he could throw things, he'd throw a pole to knock the guy out and allow them an escape. The jeep jerked to the left and the two kids fell across to the left side of the jeep.
Then it came to a stop and the boy listened to the approaching steps. When the doors swung open, he was jerked out of the jeep and he looked around. Several other kids were in cages looking at him. He jerked on the binding rope and then he heard someone get hit. He looked over his shoulder and saw a man hitting her and his chest tightened.
When the man looked at him, he knew what was going to happen and he jerked to get loose. The holder threw him onto the floor and stepped aside as the attacker stood over him. The tape was ripped off his mouth and his eyes narrowed. He looked at his friend once more and found her being taken away; then the pain started.
He shot up in bed and tried to kill the pain burning in his head. His hands dug into his scalp as he fought it and when it gave out, he tossed his covers aside. He walked into his bathroom and opened the medicine cabinet. When his eyes found the bottle, he pulled it out and dumped two white pills into his hand. Then he filled a glass with water and took the medicine.
With the medicine down, he closed the cabinet and walked back into the bedroom. His eyes looked at the falling rain on the window and he knew what had caused the nightmare. He walked over to his desk and turned on his pc. As it was booting, he walked over to his bed and picked up the shirt lying on the end. He slipped it on and then he returned to the pc.
He typed in his password and then the pc loaded his settings. Once he was up and running, he started the browser and made his way to the one site that eased the pain.
