Well, I'm 3 days into work. AND I FUCKING LOVE IT!!! hehehehe! I'm starting to put in some long hours - today I got in at 7pm, and I have to be back up there at like 5:30, and stay till 6-7 again, but I love this place! I love the work (it's physically pretty light,) I love the people, and they love me! I found out today that there have been 3 departments fighting over me. THAT is a cool feeling. So these managers sat me down and kinda make me pick. One of them even took me to lunch with all the big wigs in his crew, trying to influence my decision....I didn't go to his group, but lunch was great! So now they have me working on valves, and doing very minor assembly. Also gave me a small library to read and take quizzes on. Unless they are lying to me, I'm moving at a very quick pace. Initally I thought that I'd be stuck working in the shop everyday for 6 or more months before I got to go offshore. I found out today that that is not true....I'm not really in the program that all the other new guys are in. I'm kinda in an accelerated, do-it-at-your-pace program. So far the fastest this has been gone through is 2.5 months......I'm gonna set a new record. Anyhow, sorry I'm not commenting on everybody's diary's, but I'm so exhausted....I promise I'll try to catch up on Sunday, I think they are gonna give me a day off. Take care ya'll, and God bless.
