A Day in Downtown

Listening to: Traffic Outside
Feeling: complete
I wrote this the other day, waiting on my passport, at a restraunt in downtown Houston. So I had to go to the federal building downtown today to get passport stuff lined out. Got here at 10, my appointment was for 10:30, stood in line for about 15 minutes, got the papperwork lined out and paid with the company credit car. Can you believe they give me a credit card? With a MEGA credit line? And on the way to the federal building, the company called to verify my username for my laptop so that all of the security software would be ready when it came in. Oh yeah!! New laptop, printer, and camera - just for me! I can't believe how well things are going right now. The short fat kid that everybody picked on is doing pretty good for himself!!! Okay, back to today - Paid for the passport, and asked if I could pick it up tomarrow. The lady said that if I was there at 2:30, I could have it today! Yeah! That's that I'm talkin' about! So I figured that there was no sense in going back to the north side of town if I'd just turn around and come back. So I decided to come here. Cabo's. My favorite place in downtown. I have so many memories of coming here. Okay, not a lot of them, but the ones I have are SO treasured. Sitting here, at this booth, late at night, dressed up with my closest friends, prepairing for a night on the town. Or hanging out on the balcony, sipping drinks, watching the late night downtown traffic. I love this place. On a quiet night, you can faintly hear the sounds wafting up from the jazz bar next door. My coworker called this morning, said that he wanted me to come by his place and pick up a couple of cd's with all of the technical drawings and schematics for this job, in case something happens to him, and he couldn't make it. Said that with the wife and kids, and stuff, it was always a possibility. If that were to happen, the way things are now, and he couldn't make it, I'd be the lead controlls hand on the job! ME! A lead my first time out! Damn! I'm good! On to other things. I've found that in my prayers lately, instead of begging for change, or a good break, they have been prayers of thanks. There was a time when I worried that the rut that I was stuck in would go on forever. I did my best to not let it get to me, but sometimes it's really hard, ya know? The Blessed Mother said that the world could be changed through the power of prayer. The world can be made peaceful if everyone CONSISTANTLY prayed for peace. Let us all do that - Pray for peace in the world, in our country, in our families, and in ourselves, in our hearts. This is real, and I am proof, ya'll. Take care, and God Bless. The Rat

The fact that you got your passport on the same day is amazing all by itself! Seriously though, I am very happy for you. I envy the happiness you must be feeling.....

yeah, you need to change your background.

If you give me your password, I will totally make over your diary with a thousand pictures of me, your one and only object of LUST!

haha, ha. Okay, but seriously you do need to get a new background. You even said it yourself.

Bye
I'm so happy to hear of your happiness. :) Isn't is surprising when the tone of your prayers changes so dramatically like that? I know the feeling. Sometimes life surprises you with it's blessings(and I'm not just talking about love, as my diary might imply! lol). I feel like I've been praying that same desperate prayer for years now & finally, I've begun to find my direction. :) Happy to see that you're finding your way, too!
Also, I just wanna say that your faith & the love in your heart amaze me. I think that's really beautiful. :)

love,
-Bianca ♥

p.s.- I like Cabo's, too! :)
I agree, you're good ;) Love the new background, you're so adorable!
