Dreamland - #5

I ride through the dark hills followed by my captain and our legion of horsemen. The creatures we war against haven't done anything hostile since our last encounter, so the men and I decided to return home for a while to visit family and loved ones. I ride my horse into town and tie it to a fencepost near the bar my men are enjoying. I walk through the empty, quiet streets of the small town, with nothing to do. My family doesn't exist in this realm, my only love I haven't heard anything from since I was enveloped by darkness and transported into this war. I look around and pull my cape over my shoulders. It is a cold night, so I see my breath floating away from my mouth in small clouds. I hear my name called out faintly from behind me, and there she is, standing right there. I smile and walk towards her, and she grins as well. "How have you been?" I ask. She hugs me and we stand there for a moment, before she looks up at me. "I've been worried about you. After you just dissappeared...I thought you left me." she said, before sobbing slightly. "Shhh....I wouldn't leave you." I say comfortingly. I hug her tightly, and she takes my hand, and starts leading me towards her home. "What are you doing?" I ask. She looks at me with a mischievous smile on her beautiful face. "You've been gone for a while. I've missed you." she replied, and opened the door. She led me upstairs, and I smiled when we reached out destination.
