Dreamland VIII - #6

Xanedyer made the first move, as I thought he would. With gritted teeth, he angrily swung his sword level with my chest. I brought up my blade and parried his blade back, and he was tossed back several steps. He regained his balance quickly and stabbed out ay my gut. I jumped back and batted his blade aside, pitting him forward to the ground. He hit the ground hard and rolled over to glare at me. I placed the tip of my sword underneath his chin. "Yield Xanedyer." I said quietly, so only he could hear me. He snarled at me. "Never." He said. I stabbed down at his neck, but he rolled aisde and my blade plunged into the ground. He swung at my legs, and I ripped my blade free of the ground, flinging a large piece of dirt into Xanedyer's face. He was taken by surprise by the accidental move, and he stumbled backwards. Because of his moving backwards, his attack completely missed, and he hesitated. I stabbed at his chest, but he turned his body to avoid it. I almost stumbled forward, but I set my feet to avoid falling forward. When he finished wiping the dirt from his face, he glared at me. He swung his blade at me, attempting to do some damage to me close range. I grabbed his sword wielding hand with my left hand, and held my sword in my right. I swung my sword at him, and he grabbed my right hand. We grappled for a moment, before his superior strength shoved me backwards. I landed hard on my back, and he stood over me with his sword clenched tightly in his right hand. I tightened my grip on my sword as well, and kicked out at the side of his knee. I nailed it dead on, and he dropped to one knee as the knee gave out on him. He gritted his teeth and stabbed out at my chest, and the tip of his blade punctured my skin. He pulled his blade back. I realized the blade was coated in the vampire-killing metal as mine was, and I felt him twist the blade before pulling it free of my wound. I shouted in anger as I slashed out at him, cutting a narrow cut across his chest. The slash was deep enough to tear open the chest of his tunic, and I put enough strength into it to send him backwards. He struggled to stand, and I jumped to my feet. He glared at me, and I glared back before I gritted my teeth. This duel was nowhere close to being finished.
