Dreamland Returns - #4

The blade of my sword embedded itself in the ground, and Death glared at me angrily through his soulless eye sockets. "Do not fight." Death said. "Like hell." I said, before socking Death across his jawbone. He staggered backwards, and I shouldered him in the gut, throwing him backward. Famine lunged at me, swinging his bony fists wildly. One landed a blow on my gut, sending me hurtling backward through the air. I collided with a tree, and it snapped in half. I pulled myself from the spinters, and saw Famine running at me, preparing to hit me again with his bony fist. I caught it as he swung, and pitched him backwards through the air. He landed on the ground and skidded through a grove of trees, knocking several over before finally coming to a stop against a large tree. War grabbed my neck from behind and held me up, and Pestilence finally dismounted. He began hammering his fists into my gut, and War laughed as he continued to hold me up. I kicked out, hitting Pestilence in the face. He fell backwards, but War tightened his grip. I swung my heel into War's chin, knocking his head back and throwing him backward onto the ground. I dropped into a crouch, and prepared to fight some more. "Enough!" Death bellowed. The Horsemen and I stopped to look at him. "If you will not relinquish the human, then we will hunt you both down and kill you. For now, this fight is done." Death said, climbing onto the saddle of his pale horse and turning away from me. The rest of the Horsemen followed suit, and they all turned their backs to me. Their leader was clearly angry, and he snarled at me. "You'll die for this." he said. "Go ahead and try." I said, crossing my arms and standing still until they all faded from view. I grabbed my sword and put it back into its sheath. I fixed the white cape on my back and made sure it was straight. I climbed onto the saddle of my white horse and galloped out of the forest, where I met up with Inekwar. "Thanks dad." he said. "Don't worry about it. We have to hurry though." I said. "Why's that?" Inekwar asked. "The Four Horsemen have suffered a loss. They don't like that. Soon they'll marshal an army of their loyal followers, and bear down on us faster than you can imagine." I explained. "So we need to marshal an army to fight The Four Horsemen?" Inekwar asked. I laughed. "No. I need an army to take out their troopers. The Four Horsemen are mine." I rasped.
