I miss my Gerd already! Last night we went out to eat at his favorite place (Greek Bros.), and I got to see him in his element. He knows a bunch of the people that work there, and he's so sweet to all of them. He calls everyone "babe" and "sweetie", which I think is adorable. (But not "baby", that's reserved for me!) There was a decent band playing old country music, so we hung out and listened for awhile, it was nice. He picked on me all through dinner, watching me eat and trying to make me blush. His waitress friend stuck up for me though :D We drove around town for awhile, he showed me where his dad's business is. His dad runs a waterwell business that Gerd's grandfather started, and Gerd will take it over when he's ready. He showed me where his parents live, he wants me to meet them soon. Behind their house is a pasture, and around the back is where Gerd wants to build his house eventually. He's so put-together, knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. It's nice. He showed me his apartment and introduced me to the one roommate that was there, who was very nice. Gerd was really showing me off, it was cute. He kept saying things like "Check her out, I'm a lucky guy". It made me feel good, aww! We hung out there until it was time for him to bring me home. I didn't want to leave his side. He called on his way home so I could keep him awake, he got back about 2. When I woke up this morning, there was a sweet voicemail saying he was up thinking about me, and just wanted me to know that he misses me already and he had a wonderful night. I called him when I woke up, we talked until he had to get ready to go. He's going out of town today for a music thing. He mentioned earlier in the week that he'd be going, so we'd only have Thursday and Friday together. Yesterday he asked me to go with him because he wants all the girls to know where he stands. ;) I thanked him for the invitation, but said it's his thing and I hope he has fun. He said he wants to share it with me, he doesn't want to be away from me. But I have a baby shower and stuff to do today, and I wasn't ready to be somewhere overnight with him yet. He's going to make time to see me Sunday night after he gets home, then Monday he heads out to the rig. He'll be gone almost a month. They're usually out for 14 days, but they'll start working for a new company, so it will be 20. With the drive time and all, it's more like 25, I'm going to miss him so much. He gave me the rundown of his schedule, he's going to try to get online the first week after he gets off work, so I'll be on from 1:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. to talk to him. He said he's scared to trust me because he's been burned before. He's going to be gone all the time, and he doesn't know anyone I'm around, so he would have no way of knowing whether or not I'm being faithful. I said all I can do is prove that I will be, that I'm not like the other girls he's known. I'm not stupid, I won't do anything to mess this up. I wanna keep this one for as long as I can.
