I'm home now. Gerd dropped me off about an hour ago, I'm waiting for him to call to tell me he got home safely. He was going to stop to see his dad for Father's Day. It was such a wonderful week, I wish it didn't have to end. Thursday night we went dancing at a club Gerd's work buddies turned him on to. So it was the two of us, a guy he works with, and a girl we met at the pub the night before. We danced all night, it was so much fun. I think that's my favorite thing in the world--dancing with him. We do spins and turns and get all sorts of looks and "woohoo"s. I knew the basic dance steps before, I could hold my own, but he's teaching me how to make it look good. :D Friday night we ate at Hooters, then went to the Roger Creager show at The Firehouse. Gerd's friend Misty met us there, she's crazy, in a fun way. We stood in our usual spot :D right at the stage in front of the guitar player. The two opening bands were awesome, and Creager kicked serious bootie. Saturday we ate at this old historic restaurant, we shared a big ol' chicken fried steak, it was so good. Right after lunch, Gerd's best friend from back home got into town. We all went on a liquor run together. ;) Then we hung out by the pool drinking margaritas all day, talked to the neighbors, swam, had fun. There was a set of 19-month-old twin boys in the pool, and Gerd was so cute with them; he was pushing them around in their little floaties. He would throw one in the air and catch him and he'd just giggle. Gerd kept saying "I've gotta get one of these" and "I want a young'n". It was cute, but don't get any ideas, buddy :P Saturday night we went back to that club, there were more people Gerd knew this time. It was fun, but so crowded that it was hard to dance. Well, except for the songs we really like (Texas Country or old Classic country)--the floor pretty much cleared out, so we had room to do our thing. This morning, we got up and went to church (the 3 of us, and 2 of the guys Gerd works with and one of their girlfriends). Gerd was so cute, kept saying how proud he was of everyone for getting up early after being out so late. This was the first time Gerd went to this church, he seemed to like it, so that'll probably be his new home. After church, the 3 of us ate at IHOP, then the best friend went home. Gerd and I got some things done around the apartment that needed finishing, so he'll be able to go home to a clean, put-together place now. That makes me feel better, knowing he'll be able to go home after a long day at work and just relax, not have to stress out over everything that needs to be done. We took one last nap together, then hit the road. Goodness, I miss him so much. I wish I could just pack up and move close to him. I've gotta get some things lined out here first, but if everything goes my way, I'll be in Houston before the year's out. Well, I'm exhausted, so I'm gonna go call to check on my beebee and go to sleep.
So It Took So Long I Had Writter'z Block :)
I hope things are going well with you. Have a grrrrrreat day.
