fuck em. they weren't worth it. I know I don't know your situation. it's entirely subjective or epistemological. but I know when someones been wronged. they just weren't worth and aren't worth it. what? exactly? your time. so fuck the flat leavers and the naysayers. and all talking points aside: fuck promise. you have freedom. and so do they. they are just less sincere.
