(A/N): Short chpt. Next one is ready...Kat
When she stepped into the club, she heard the country music blaring and she felt relaxed. He removed his coat and hung them up while she made her way over to the bar to get a drink. As she waited on a large drink, he walked up to her and looked around the place. It had been forever since he found out about this club and only once had he been in here. He had been completely crazy about the woman next to him, but his craziness wasn't anything compared to what he felt now.
He heard the bartender talking and he heard, "Thanks."
He looked down at her and watched her take a drink of water and asked "Is that all you get at a club?"
She shot him a look and said "I told you that I don't drink and I never have."
With a shrug, he turned to the dancing floor and watched people dance to the slow music. He took a deep breath and let his mind wander as his gaze followed a pair around the dance floor. As he watched them, she looked up at him and looked at the pair he was watching. She finished her drink without a sound and then she placed the glass on the counter. The bartender nodded to her and she led him onto the floor without him really noticing it.
When he realized where he was, he was about to retreat when he saw someone in the far corner watching him. He just about lost it as he held her gaze and then he looked at the woman in front of him. She was gone and he looked around the dance floor. His eyes found the bar empty and then he looked to the door. He spotted her grabbing her jacket, leaving his behind, and he quickly left the dance floor.
When she was slipping her jacket, she took a deep breath and then she was whirled around. She found him sternly watching her, but after what she had seen in their gazes she couldn't believe him. With a little too much venom, she jerked free and stepped out the door. She left him standing in the club and made her way into the rainy night as the storm erupted. Her mind was blacking out to anything and when she stopped walking, she found herself at the city park.
She sighed with some pain forming in her chest and she walked over to the swings. When she rested her head on her hand, she let the swing rock back and forth as she watched the raindrops hit standing water. With the rain falling, she didn't notice that the storm had reached its break point and a tear fell. She took a deep breath and forced herself back up to her feet. Then he stood in front of her and she held his gaze firmly until he seized control of her.
