The alarm went off and she looked up into the mirror. Sighing, she pushed herself into her room and turned the dumb contraption off. She felt the nausea hit again and moved back to the bathroom. She knelt next to the toilet and felt it subside. Slowly she got to her feet and walked into the hall.
She moved into the kitchen and pulled out a bottle of water. Walking back into her room, she pulled out clean work clothes and changed into her jeans. She paused as she caught sight of her reflection and turned to the side. She placed her hand on her lower stomach and smirked. Her smirk disappeared as she pulled on her shirt and remembered.
'He's not coming back.'

Taking a deep breath, he slipped off the motorcycle and put his helmet on the seat. Quietly he moved up the sidewalk and knocked on the right door. He listened and silence greeted him. Checking his watch, he sighed and moved down the sidewalk to the motorcycle. Slipping his helmet on, he turned onto the road and headed for the club.
The drive was cool and kept his mind at quiet and his blood raced. Pulling into the parking lot, he turned the engine off and slipped off. He held his helmet under his arm and walked into the club. He heard the main attraction performing and shook his head. His eyes roamed through the dance floor and then over to the bar.
He felt his breath catch in his throat and slipped into the shadows. His eyes ran over her face and he listened to her laugh. She handed Bryan his drink and he nodded with a smile. His eyes narrowed and he slowly crossed the room.

"You look great, Faith."
"Nothing shows at this stage."
"Your smile and happiness do."
She smiled and ran the cloth over the counter. Alan joined them and took the cloth from her. She looked up at him and frowned.
"Turn around slowly."
She sent him a cold look and did as he told. Her eyes moved through the crowd and she felt the ground break underneath her. Bryan's moan didn't reach her ear and she smiled as she walked to the far end of the bar. His face was hard but she saw his eyes light up as she approached.
"You're here."
He sat down silently and she took a deep breath.
'How am I going to tell him?'
His eyes grew hard and she bit her lip as she pulled out her order pad.
"What can I get you?"
"The usual."
She wrote it down and moved back to the drink line. Pouring his drink, she felt his eyes burning into her and felt her nerves screaming. Her hand shook and she put the glass down. Taking a deep breath, she forced iron into her will and approached him. Placing his drink in front of him, she glanced around and waited.
"You're off Faith!"
She turned down to the other end and looked at the two. Shaking her head, she groaned and moved over to them. Frowning, she threw her cloth at Bryan and met his gaze.
"I'm never off."
"This band is a disaster!"
Alan chuckled and said, "I couldn't agree more with him."
She frowned at both of them and her eyes flashed.
"I could care less! I'm outta here."
She slipped into the back room, clocked out, and grabbed her jacket. The door opened behind her and she growled.
"Not now, you two. I can't take it tonight."
She pulled on her jacket and turned around, bumping straight into him. Her palms began to dampen and she felt her mind racing.
"Who are you?"
Her eyes widened and she said, "I can't do this. Excuse me."
She walked around him and back into the club. Bryan smiled at her and waved. She shook her head and moved over to the two.
"Why did you do that?!"
Alan chuckled and said, "You missed him."
Her eyes narrowed and Bryan rested a hand on her shoulder saying, "He deserves to know, Faith."

His eyes narrowed and he felt the inner battle to not strangle the man. He watched her shake her head and leave. His eyes caught Bryan's and he watched the man go pale and look away. Silently he left the club and slipped onto his motorcycle. He scanned the parking lot and pulled onto the road.
He disappeared down the street and she sighed as she stepped out of the alley. Her heart was breaking and her skin was cold. The distance between them was eating her up and she closed her eyes. Silently she moved over to her car and got in. The drive was quiet and she pulled into the parking lot next to her apartment twenty minutes later.
She got out, locked the door, and moved up the sidewalk to her home. Unlocking the door, she slipped inside and locked it behind her. Her keys landed on the table nearby and she hung up her jacket. Her stomach lurched and she held the back of her hand to her mouth as the tears came. She moved back to the bathroom and looked into the mirror.
She slid down the wall and let the tears fall. She didn't have the strength to fight them off any longer. He hated her and it killed her. Her soul was breaking with each thought and she rested her forehead on her knees.

His eyes narrowed and he moved up the sidewalk. He tested the doorknob and found it locked. Frowning, he looked around and knocked once. He knew she was in there, hiding from him, and he wanted the reason. The door unlocked and opened slowly. Her eyes were still glazed from the tears and he silently slipped in.
He closed the door behind him and she moved across the room, away from him. He looked around and felt his mind take it in. He looked at her and she met his gaze, hurt but with authority.
"You're sleeping with him."
Her eyes narrowed and she said, "Get out."
He caught her wrists and pulled her to him. His eyes bore into hers and he felt the tremble run through her.
"You've been with him since I left."
She tried getting free and said, "Let me go."
"Answer me! Tell me I'm right!"
Her eyes burned as she met his gaze and the lump was back in her throat. She jerked free and moved back into the wall, needing to put space between them. She watched him believe the lie and turn to the door.
She bit her lip and forced out, "I'm pregnant."
He froze and she closed her eyes, trying to shove her emotions aside. She knew the chances of him staying and knew it wouldn't happen.
He looked at her and she met his gaze. The chills shaking her didn't compare to the hurt running through her.
"What?"
He approached her slowly and she said, "I'm pregnant."
His hands slowly rested on her shoulders and she watched his eyes narrow.
He gripped her shoulders and asked, "Is it his? It is Bryan's?!"
She took a deep breath and said, "No."
He lightened his grasp on her and she said, "I found out last month."
His eyes met hers slowly and he felt the world spinning. She seemed a blur as the room moved. Everything was spinning and he backed up. She closed her eyes and looked away. He stood in the middle of the room staring at her and she couldn't handle it.
She slipped down the hall and into her room. She hid in the corner, letting the tears fall, hiding from his gaze. Her hands rested in her hair and she rested her head on her knees.
