I love being up late at night! I get so hyper! Its so much fun! Being ditzy every once in a while is good for the soul!
Anyways, I came up with this idea concerning the Enneangram. I’ve been wanting to tell someone about it on and off since Sunday. You see, the Enneagram is based off the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ plus two. Well, one of the speakers on Sunday brought up the ‘Nine Fruits of the Spirit’ found in Galatians 5:22. My idea is for a simple improvement to the Enneagram. Instead of basing it just off the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ I propose that we add an opposing ‘Fruit of the Spirit’ to each type. Thus, when we use the Enneagram to type someone we’re not just calling them a ‘sloth’ but we are also assigning them a ‘fruit of the spirit’ that they will also be guided by when they are living a spiritual, or to others it may be seen as a ‘healthy’ live. Thus, someone becomes someone who is driven by a ‘fruit of the spirit’ instead of just a ‘sin’ or fear. Thus we get an either or system. Either the ‘fruit’ or the ‘sin’ is ruling, all depending on if the person is healthy or not. Perhaps it can be likened to whether someone is in the grip or not in MBTI terms. Just a thought, since I don’t know what the ‘Seven Deadly Sins' plus two are and I don’t feel like looking it up. Sometimes, I can be content with something that is just an idea.
Looks like it is time for me to take some time to plan out a little color scheme and layout for this journal. Since I'm actually going to use it, I want it to look good. ;)
