I was doing my reading for English and came across this rather interesting side note which reminded me of an idea that I'd had that I considered using in one of my stories, I'll explain more about that in a minute. The note is an official note in my anthology which contains "A Vindication of the Rights of Women" by Mary Wollstonecraft and the note is on something that she refers to. The note reads "Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772), the Swedish theosopphist, held that in the married state in heaven male and female are embodied in a single angelic form." Yuck! It sounds like an idea I had for this "monster" which was an animated skeleton that came to be when two mages were -whose personalities were in complete discord- combined their powers to defeat this great "evil" but were infected and fussed into one living skeleton. It's probably one of my most psychologically disturbing ideas that I've had. I'll admit the idea isn't fully developed (I don't want to give myself nightmares... just thinking about ol' Shemale, a.k.a Dilandu, from Vision of Escaflowne managed to do that too me during my Sophmore year of high school.) Anyways, I just thought that was interesting, that more or less the same idea as what I had was once seen as angelic, while I saw as zombic (yes, that is now a word).
