the good news is: i have no (official) spanish homework. the bad news is: i have a precal test, a book to read, and a nice bit of (unofficial) spanish homework to do tonight. i haven't gotten more than 4 hours of sleep in the past two months. i could do the smart thing, and be done with my homework by 11, be in bed by 11:30 and live the life of luxury that is a deep, sound slumber. or, i could talk to my california buddy until three in the morning, and let my homework fester in the corner, boring holes in the back of my head that i choose to ignore. i could stay up till 4:30 or 5 in the morning, falling asleep on my spanish book, and then again in spanish class. my mother tells me i'm crazy for doing this to myself. my friends make fun of me for being so sleepy. but somehow, i don't mind... because i'm talking to my california buddy, and he's a lot more interesting than rotated conics or spain's prominent poetic works from the fifteenth century. suck on that schoolwork! and to you, wyatt, thanks for distracting me so well! you're a lovely diversion from the rest of my life!
