Saturday, Donald and I set out on an adventure neither of us will forget anytime in the near future! Ok, we left Edna around 12:30 to heading toward Lago Vista located on Lake Travis in the Austin area. We made great time and enjoyed ever minute of our trip! We made it to Austin fairly quick but found quite a bit of traffic once we hit the end of 183 as it entered Austin. We found our way the rest of the way through the winding curvs and wandering hills in the Lake Travis area. the country was beautiful and it was so much better than being in the city. Upon finding Tracy's home we were finally able to relax. Tracy's home is awesome. They finnished building it in January of this year so it is brand new and has the most spectacular view of the lake. I don't know if I have ever seen anything as beautiful as this home and the land that surrounds it. We were then given the grand tour of Lago Vista.
The tour lasted about an hour or so. Me and Donald got something to eat at Subway and then we headed back to Tracy's to chill for a while. We didn't get to do a lot around the lake as it was still flooded from all the rain south Texas has recently recieved but it was all very beautiful. We sat at Tracy's for a little while watching tv and that kind of stuff when her mother invited me and Donald to stay for dinner. I thought about it and was a little worried about getting into Dallas so late, but I really didn't want to leave the Joslin home. We accepted! Tracy's friend, Laurel, showed up shortly after we were invited for dinner. She stayed through dinner and we had great fun. She is a very cute, cool, awesome person and I could easily see why Tracy had her as a friend. We sat on the balcony to see the sun going down. I tried to take pictures, but my batteries were dead so I had to charge them and then the bright pink sky had kind of faded away, but I did get a few good pics. It was so great, great friends, great house, great everything. Around 6 we decided to go to Laurel's home to play some pool. I have no idea how we got there, winding road this way, winding road that way.... but we made it;) Now, I thought Tracy's home was huge, this was a home like no other! It had the automatic gate at the front, it had a 4 car garrage, it was HUGE! It was on the lake, not 20 feet from it. The entire home was open, it was so cool... I would love to live in a home like that when I have money comming out my ears! :) Laurel is such a great person; she has so much yet is down to earth and seemed to fit in with me and Donald as well as with Tracy. She was able to joke around with us and everything went great!
We headed out of Lago Vista at nearly 8 which was a bit later than expected, but I don't think either of us, me or Donald, wanted to leave. If we had had a reason to stay, I am sure we would have! We pulled into Dallas at almost exactly 11 pm last night and had to return to the city life.... It isn't that I dislike the city, just that Lago was so beautiful and peacfull. I talked to Tracy for quite some time on the phone after I got in last night, I talked to her until she started falling asleep on the phone, poor thing, you would think she spent forever on the road today! Anyhow it was the most awesome day to end an ok break for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to return to Lago. The next chance I have, when Tracy again invites us, me and Donald will be in that mustang flying toward Lago without any hesitation!
Tracy.... hmmmmm.... maybe... her mother and friend, Laurel, both told her she should date me... that made me feel good about myself. I never can tell what others think of me and it was nice that they approved. Laurle said it looked like we were already dating, so I guess that means she could tell that we were close? Anyhow, her mom said I must really care for her to drive so far out of my way just to come visit her. I tried to play it off as if it was just Lago that drew me in, Tracy had nothing to do with it... I don't think that worked. Only time will tell...
