Like a drifter I was born to walk alone. Kudos to those of you who know those lyrics. Read my previous entry. I need ideas. It seems that every time I write something, 2 or 3 people right after me decide they have to write 7 entries with 2 words each, leaving mine high and dry past by on the list of most recent entries. I want people to see mine. Call it conceit, well, no, better yet, it's some sort of exhibitionism. I want to put myself out there for people to read what I have to say, but some nerdmonkeys mess it up for me. "The true secret of giving advice is, after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken or not, and never persist in trying to set people right." Hannah Whitall Smith, 1902 I like this one. It's quite true. If you're asked to give advice, give it, but don't keep giving it once it's out there. If a person is going to listen to it, they will. Most of the time they won't and you have to live with the fact that the didn't listen to you. I understand that you're trying to help, but don't pester them. Let them make stupid mistakes, that's how they will learn. I'd like to think most of us learn through other people's mistakes instead of making their own. Some people just want to fuck up and have themselves a "life experience." Whatever. Unfortunately, I've chosen the route of learning from other's. This has kept me from making my own mistakes, which almost makes me sad to think about it. I'll never have those under my belt as a test of my person. But then again, I'll have never made those mistakes in my life. It's a two-sided problem if you could call it that. No middle. Sink or swin, do or die. -=Addendum=- By the way, I'm tired of now seeing so many other people saying "tootles," or "toodles," or whatever similar. That's MY word dammit. I shall now start saying "meow." If any of you have seen Super Troopers, than you'll understand the comedy behind it. And I saw someone else using my "Addendum." What the hell? I just feel like people don't have enough imagination to make their own little sayings on here. Am I bitter? Dang, I just might be. Meow.
