So, my mom let me stay home today because there was a pep rally. This is why my mom rocks. So we went to southern pines to pick up her cup that she painted, and she looked for some shoes. We got some food at the bagel shop, went to the office supply store, and came back home. According to Josh there are a couple new retarded rules at school, and some people did some really idiotic things. A couple days ago at school, this guy tried to get me to convert to Christianity. He sang extremely moving renditions of "What a friend we have in Jesus," "Amazing Grace," and "Jesus Loves Me." I ignored all the things he said and continued reading my book about homosexual teens. This is the same guy who I had this conversation with a few days prior:
Doug: Why do you wear black?
Me: I like the color.
Doug: Why do you wear black shoes?
Me: I like the color.
Doug: Why do you have a black pocketbook?
Me: I like the color.
Doug: Do you have a hole in your soul?
Me: Yes, I call it my spooky black abyss.
Doug: Do you know what could fill that hole?
Me: ....(I have a feeling I know what's coming)
Doug: *Enthusiastically* JESUS.
Me: HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Yes, that really happened. This guy also gives his girlfriend a wedgie every day to make sure she isn't wearing a thong. Freak. Hm. Anything else of interest? I don't know. Don't think so. But do to one person caring, I'm gonna post the pic of me and a koala. Please remember that this is a BAD picture of me. I am ugly, but not this ugly. Or I like to delude myself with those thoughts. Who is to say, I dunno. Anyway, if you don't want to see it, don't click the link.

i hate people who try to force you to believe what they think is right. it makes me want to barf...
especially the idiots that try to make you believe in jesus at school. gag me, seriously.

I've been through many, many similar situations. It's great that he's doing his witness job and all, it's his duty as a Christian, but it comes on too strong often times and can be a major turn off. Best thing to do is just engage in conversation to create an understanding between the two different lifestyles - doesn't always work, though. Then we ignore them.

You know, there were moments in high school where I wish my mother would let me stay home for a pep rally. But some friends and I would make up our own cheers to keep us from going mad. We had one that went like:
"Battle Cry, Battle Cry, Battle Cry
HEY!
What's the Eagles' Battle Cry?"
And instead of saying "V-I-C-T-O-R-Y, that's the Eagles' battle cry" we'd say "PCP will make you fly" or "Let's get cheasy, let's get high."
