Once I'm hooked on something, I need something else to get me off it. Yes, it is pretty masochistic. But I liked the way it ended up being phrased today: "I can't move on until I know where I'm going." Unlike my friend, I can't just be "nowhere." I have to know, I have to be something. I have to find something before I can move on so that I know where my destination is, so that I have a goal, so that I feel more secure in not losing myself along the way, a thought which is a paramount example of my insecurity. I have closure and confidence problems for this very reason. But at least today, it has been defined. Feeling a little better.
