Bo and Tita Lablab came from Florida to stay with us for about 4-5 days because they really really wanted to see the U.S. Open. It was unfortunate that I had so much work to cover, so I couldn't really talk with them as much as I would have liked to. Then today, the day that they're leaving, Grandma Celia came downstairs to give me a birthday card. That made my day. Bo saw me and asked me in that adorable Cambodian FOB accent of his, "Today's your birthday?????" I said, "No, it was last Tuesday xD." And then he wished me a belated happy birthday. I said goodbye to them, these pleasant stranger-relatives that had lived at our house for this short span of time. Gave them big hugs, and thanked them for their company, especially thanking Bo for his wise school wisdom. Then, Tita Lablab wished me a happy belated birthday too, and on their way out, they told me they had left something in my room for me. I almost cried. Just shows how what a stranger's kindness can do to you.
