buy one get one and/or buy two get one cigarette packs aren't even really that. i don't like how they advertise them that way. i bought a buy two get one pack of camel lights today and it came out to be 10 something. 4.27 a pack (i hear cigarettes in california are like $3 a pack! what the fuck!) times 2 is about 8.60. so, therefore, it's about buy 2 get one for 2 bucks. lame. i'm probably pointing out the obvious, though. i'm working 30+ hour weeks over christmas break. shiiit.

That IS false advertising. If it makes you feel any better, I hear gas prices in the UK are through the roof. Maybe their cigarettes are free.
Well then good. But I know what you mean. The best things about SitD are the anonymity and expectations of honesty. People don't hesitate to write what exactly is wrong with them, and for the most part, other people don't judge. Just try to find people they can relate to. That's probably why you seem so familiar.
I'm terrified of public speaking too, but it's a fear I'm conscious of. My fear of change is greater because it always sneaks up on me from nowhere and I tend to deny it.
Also, smokes in Canada (well at least in Quebec) can go up to 9.50 a pack. That's one of the reasons I quit. haha.
