so. i'm at my auntie's house. i haven't been here since i was six years old. my cousin shauna is here too. she's cool. and there's an uncle i've never met. he's only 23, and he's named after my brother andrew. i'm looking so hard. it's very trying. i mean, to try and find just one person in this world is like looking for a needle in a haystack. i knew it would be hard, but i thought i'd have better luck. but now i have all the papers and his birth certificate, and it will get easier. it just has to. my grandpa, whom i've never met, is coming down here in september. i'm terribly excited. also, mikey's daughter lives here in the city, so that will be better for him. it's so weird how everything is coming together like this. i have a cat. his name is henry. well, he's really adrian's cat, but he sleeps with me in my room, so he's mine. tee hee. he's so small and cute. the puppies are afraid of him. everyone's wondering when i'm going to have a baby. i'm only 19! still a little girl in so many ways. i think i'll wait a while yet. funny how when i'm out with mum and darian people think she's mine. i'm not at the place yet, you know? we just took a family photo. that'll be a memory for a long time. mum and auntie krista used to not get along, but now they do. strange how life is. anyways, there's food and good conversation outside, so take care everyone. hope you find a place to belong. the one, the only, laura michelle*
