Punishment Via Cliche

Listening to: The Living End- Jimmy
Feeling: naughty
Just got back from Desert Ridge. Another life affirming trip as usual. I saw The Punisher... I guess I should've taken a hint from my lack of interest in the comic, but I took Taylor and Kevin anyway. It was a very "textbook" movie... very action/ adventure. I just never really understood the hype... there's no ethics, no morals, no love, no hope, the comic is basically just mechanical killing and the lack of reprocussions. The main thing I love/ hate about Desert Ridge is the ignorace of the general populous, it's such a breeding ground. It's just compiled rebellion and people who are just mad and depressed for no reason. Adolescent, mindless kids who haven't been told otherwise about the joys of really getting out and living. They just need a role model, and not a punk rock superstar. Everything that goes on there is a cry to be heard... it's never thought that compliance would work, "maybe being civilized and polite is the thing to do." would never be heard there. It's good that I can identify this stuff, but I know that it's not my job to judge the world... not to classify, but to love. Guess I should get to work huh? Sleep well kids.
