Haight & Ashbury

Feeling: alright
I'm over alot of the things that happened to me earlier on... I had several things to say over the last few days, but I just couldn't bring myself to getting all of them to text. I do need to say a few things though. For the record, I'm in San Francisco right now, and I love it. I went walking about the city today with my parents, and I'm having a great time. I'm going to be here until Sunday so I'm sure I'll be out of this slump I'm sort of in right now. False Jazz played a show on Friday, and I think it brought up several things about the guys I play music with right now. I feel like such a disciplinarian when we practice, and for the most part if feels like I'm the only one who actually cares about making good music. I learned Friday that if you're not going to apply your talents and make the best music you possibly can, then you shouldn't make it at all. About half of the guys in my band could care less about the music, it seems as if they want the popularity and the recognition, but they don't want to put in any effort to actually making the sound good, and making something worth listening to. I think if you're blessed with talent, you might as well use it to the best of your ability. I thought several times about just giving up, but I care about these guys, and for all I know, they may never know what making good music is like. I haven't done much over the last couple days though, I took the PSATs yesterday, and most importantly, I learned what I want out of making music. I also purchased one of the best things I've ever owned, my new bass. This is huge people, 2004 Fender American S-1 Jazz Bass. Have a great week guys.
