Feeling: refreshed
Lots of stuff has happened over the last week. And yet again (for the 4th time, I think) I'm writing at the tail end of my weekend. To start, my week was fantasic, and on Friday I had Paulie and Best over for some 3-man band practice. We got tons of material worked out for the show we're playing @ our lunch concert this Friday. I think it's going to be an excellent show to tell the truth. If we can get tons of work done on Thursday's practice and if everything falls into place just right, we'll be able to make a pretty sweet set. After Brandon and Paul left I went straight to bed in preparation for a cross country meet the following morning. I had to be @ school at 5, to be in Prescott by 8:30. The course that we ran basically consisted of running up a mountain and immediately back down it, and for it's worth, I was proud of my race. However, I did sustain three rather large rolls of my ankle during the downhill of the race. The last mile was one of the most painful six minutes I've had in quite a while. After the race I couldn't really walk so I hopped around everywhere and tried to stay off of my feet for basically the rest of the weekend. I wouldn't have minded injuring my leg on pretty much any other weekend, but considering this one in still painful for me to walk on, and it caused me to have to miss Desert Mountain's homecoming, I'm kinda let down. I just felt bad for Hadas, she didn't really have any other plans or anything. Anyways after the meet, I left early with Ellie (we both had this mock photo shoot for Homecoming ads). So I went home, got dressed and drove aimlessly around scottsdale looking for this place. I luckily found it, and it went well. I ended up going to dinner that night, but I felt really bad because apparently Laurie wasn't actually doing something that night, and I told her that I could go out. I'm sorry for that by the way Laurie, I really did want to go out by the way. Otherwise, my weekend (basically today) was fantastic, church was excellent and I loved being in fellowship with everyone and stuff. The only other semi-depressing thing about this weekend is the fact that I forgot my backpack at school and I had about two hours of Trig. homework. I guess theres always make-up work. I've learned one very important thing this weekend, no matter how perfect my plans are, God always has something to teach me from them exploding in my face. Have a sweet week guys.
