The writing contest is my last hope. If I don't come in at least third place, then I'm screwed for another year. I just submitted my story. I just know I fucked it up somehow, and that I'm not gonna win, but what the hell, it was worth a try. But the main problem is I don't know who won until January. Meaning that even if I DO win, I'll have to wait six months to get the money. Which really sucks. And if I don't win, I'll have waited around six months to get a fucking $50 gift certificate for Writer's Digest books.... JUST what I'm after! Oh, well. Whatever. I know I'm not gonna win, because it's an all-ages contest, including adults, which means there'll probably be thirty-year-olds who've been writing since they were four, and know every fucking thing there is to know about winning over judges with their stories. Damn them. And the only contest I could find for my age group (which I could kick ass at) was a fifty-word essay (YOU COULDN'T HAVE MORE THAN FIFTY WORDS, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!!) about your favorite celebrity, and the first-place prize was... get this.... FIFTY DOLLARS!!!! YAY!!! Wow, so many things that I could do with fifty dollars! It's about 1/16 of what I need for the lap top! Yeah! So. Today I played DDR a lot. I went shopping with mom.... What an eventful day.... I'm probably gonna stay up until one in the morning, waiting for someone to post on the RP, as usual. Speaking of which... I'm gonna go check on it. Bye bye.
