Happy Fifth of July everyone!
I went down to my grandparents' farm for the holiday so that my mom and I could sleep without the incessant fireworks. They are pretty yes, but I do not like how they are always going off at like 3 in the morning when I am trying to sleep!
Anyways, so I got to see my grandparents, which is good, because I've been busy other times recently when my mom has gone down to see them. A week and a half ago, my grandpa had a stint put in one of his major arteries because he had 99% blockage in it. But he is fine now, he keeps on chugging, he's one of the healthiest 83 year olds I know! My mom and my grandma planned my grandparents' party for their 60th wedding anniversary in August. I read the whole book Heaven by V.C. Andrews (one of my new favorite authors). My grandparents switched between watching tv and going out every half hour or so to move the sprinkler in his garden. Both my grandparents have their own gardens on their farm since they don't work their land anymore (a relative does for them), plus they have a massive flower garden. We went out and picked peas and beans from my grandma's garden. She also has turnips, potatoes, cabbage, tomatoes, and corn. My grandpa showed us his garden, he has 4 kinds of corn, cucumbers, pumpkins, and potatoes. It was a good old time at the farm.
I seriously think I should take a big road trip soon. I drove most of the way to and from my grandparents', about 4 hours total, plus last weekend I drove out to Randi's, about 8-9 hours total. I really don't mind driving, I like it a lot. I think I'm ready for a cross-country road trip. But if I did that, I'd probably have to drive most of the way, especially through mountains, otherwise I might be motion sickness from the mountain driving. But I won't get sick if I'm driving. But I do want to take a road trip sometime, I don't know when or to where, but it's on my to-do list.
