Wow, y'all. It's already 2004! It seemed like yesterday everyone was all "y2k . . y2k" and what not. What a laugh that was. Har har har.
Yep, it's that time of year again, time to make those resolutions. I have a lot of them this year, fo shiz. But basically, they can all kind of be summed up into one phrase. And that is: "now is the time to be the person I want to be". No more putting things off. You know what I mean. "Next semester, I'll be a better student." "Next week, I'll go work out." "Tomorrow, I'll go talk to that person." "I should really eat better." What about now? I'm tired of waiting to make myself into that person that I want to be. If I don't do it now, when will I do it? This year, I'm going to go all out. That way when things go wrong, I know that I have made my darn tootin' best effort. And that's my new year's resolution. In a short, simple little phrase. To be the person that I know I can be if I just do the work.
So basically, I've been pretty busy the last couple days here. Studying up the Bible, doing some Tae-Bo, eating less junk food (still can't lay off those Cheez-Its, but I'm eating less now). I'm excited, yet scared to go back to school. I want to dive right into everything but I'm afraid I'll get back into the habit of being INCREDIBLY lazy. And I can't be lazy this semester, since I'm taking Organic Chem, Microbiology, AND Physics. So basically, if I stop writing so much in my journal, it's probably because I have started living at the library. Or possibly gone into a coma from studying too much.
People I still need to call over break: Carie (told her I would when I saw her at Super T), Shafina (are you back from Canada yet?), and Cindy (dang girl, we still have to watch the hottie in Van Wilder). Fo shiz. If any of these people are you, please call me in a couple days if I haven't yet contacted you. I may have forgotten, silly me. We all know my airhead tendencies.
I still have a lot of movies I want to see while I'm home. I have to get my movie fix since Ames movies suck and no one ever wants to go see some with me. I still haven't seen Lord of the Rings 3 so no one tell me about it at school because I'll kick you!! I'm leaving right about now to go see a movie in fact. Woo hoo! Talk to you all later.
you know you love me ;)
