Listening to: The Beatles - Twist & Shout
Feeling: groovy
I think I'll start talking about my car. Well for starters it's a 1967 Mustang Hardtop. I've been working on it slowly, restoring it and making sure it gets plenty of love.
It originally came with a 200 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder with a c4 automatic transmission. But now (ahem) I put a .060 overbored 302 cubic inch engine connected to a 4-speed Hurst with a Competition Plus shifter. I strapped an Edlebrock dual plane Performer intake manifold that has been slightly ported and sitting right atop of it is a 600 cfm Edlebrock carb. The cylinder heads have some minor porting as well. Right next to those are the Hi-Po exhaust manifolds leading to 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipes with Dynomax mufflers.
Boy does my little Black Sunshine purrrrrrrr.
And....
I'm converting the front drum brakes to nice fat 11 inch disc brakes. To match up with that, I'm getting rid of the 7 inch rear end that I have (that thing couldn't handle a v8) and putting a wider 9 inch cougar rear axle, 15 x 7 American Racing Torque Thrust 'D' rims and r15/205 wheels in front, and 235's in the rear. I'm talking FAT radials. :P
The final touches will be a mirror finish black with 2 racing stripes, black and red interior, and a (literally) insane stereo system.
Whew.
