Snooter

Feeling: edgy

So I'm having a difficult time deciding again whether I want to move to Texas or Oregon. Oregon has 1)the benefit of having the USs only rain forest, 2) coastal access, 3)and river and lakes for fishing enjoyment. 4) Oh yeah, my friends and their kids are moving there and I can possibly stay with them for a time. Texas will have 1)my other friends, 2) a cookie shop that they're going to run, 3) lakes galore as well, 4) there's a mustang place out there in Dallas, 5) COWGIRLS!(hopefully :P,) 6) a 5 bedroom house with millions of feet of room for a quarter of the price for a house here in California. Stress level of the week - 12 School started this week. I have to petition on Monday to get into the class. I had to work that day and left my coworker who has no license or car until everybody else got there to take him to the bus stop at 3PM. I get a call at 11AM saying, "Hi, we'll be late because of traffic. Back at about 4 o'clock. Yeah, can you take him to the bus stop?" Class doesn't end officially until 4:30. I have to stay the whole time to make sure I can get the class. You can see where my dilemma lies. Commence butterflies in stomach. 3 o'clock rolls by, teacher still droning on. I'm antsy because I don't want coworker to not get home after 6PM. Class gets out at 3:45PM, I call, they're back and getting him a ride to the bus. I'm getting a new job working with a friend. I need to go to the temp agency office and register. I have no car. I have to borrow one before class wherein I assume it'll take at least an hour to finish. I'm out of there in 20 minutes. I don't like getting dressy for work. I'm starting at an executive area of a mortgage company and I have to wear pants. I hate pants. Good times. I get to work with a bunch of suits. I'm getting(thankfully) a ride from said friend to work until my other autos are in working condition, ergo the new job. My main problem is the feeling of putting out said friend because she'll have to wake up at least half an hour earlier to come pick me up. She says it's ok. She's willing to do it for a professional need of a reliable and capable assistant and for a friendly favor. I don't deserve these things sometimes. I have to wake up at 5:45AM and work until 11AM when I get a ride back home. School at 12:30PM until about 5. I get my jury summons today. I really dislike authority. Especially being in the heart of corruption which is the criminal justice system. And guess what? I'm gonna be part of that. I have to wear pants for that too. I feel like a big boy with all this new responsibility and stress. I don't like it.

Wow, busy, busy. I had to petition one of my classes to get in and went to it for two days and then the professor tells me the class is too full and I should try next semester. Eh

I'm glad things are working out for your new job even though you have to wear pants. :-P

I have to take PE this semester. The prof is a 25 year old ex-football player. It should prove to be excruiatingly (spelling?) horrible. :-)

Oregon also has much lower housing prices than California, although Portland not quite so low as other areas, and no sales tax. On the flip side, if you own property, the property taxes are outrageous to compensate for the lack of sales tax. You also never have to pump your own gas in Oregon. Actually, it's illegal. Texas has extreme heat and humidity, plus insects the size of small children. You can see what my recommendation would be. :)

By the way, "said friend" is really glad that you are taking this job, and wishes you wouldn't worry so much about putting her out.

Just so you know, my recommendation would be for you to stay here, not move away, but if I had to help you choose...

that's a lot of sneezes to do in order to achieve an orgasms equivilency.

congratulations on your new job! and you get to work suits! how fancy! i used to work in a call center for bank of america, so i've worked with suits, too. i had a cubicle & everything.

that's a really tough decision...moving to oregon or texas. if i were you, i'd choose oregon. because i think it's probably really nice up there, even though it probably rains...

alot. but i'm sure it's nice up there. i love california, but it's very very very expensive here. you have to pay an ungodly amount of money for a decent apartment. i live by myself in berkley & i pay $950/month for my apartment. but i really like it here. and i'm super close to san francisco so it's good times.

on the other hand i'm sure texas would be an interesting place to live. it seems like there would be more things to do there for fun.
