Listening to: Casting Crowns
Feeling: bright
hello there! i just got back from eating dinner at my grandma and grandpa's house with my brother. it was nice to see them, but i am very much awaiting the coming home of my parents. one week without parentals makes you very thankful for their presence. anyways, about my entry title....my sister told me the other day that there is a rescue group in the Florida Keys that works primarily to rescue sea turtles and revive them. this has been my dream job ever since i can remember and i had no idea such an occupation existed just for turtles! i was so excited. so i looked it up on the internet and i was reading about it for about 2 hours. sometimes sea turtles get these tumors on them called fibropapilloma tumors that are more like warts or something of the sort, but they aren't cancerous. they get to be about the size of a head of lettuce and they grow on the turtle's eyes and soft parts of the skin which makes it hard for the turtle to see as well as eat and it slows them down tremendously. there is not yet a cure for this, nor is there a known reason for evolvement. they are not sure yet how it spreads, but they have theorys about it, like fish are spreading it. as odd as all this probably sounds to everyone reading it, i would absolutely adore having this job. i want to help as many turtles as i can. it would be so cool to find a cure for this thing. the awesome part is that i have full support from my parents to do whatever i want so if i work hard enough then i can hopefully some day achieve it. i just have to keep my grades up and my head about me. it's all very exciting! well i have a very large amount of homework this weekend so i'm gonna get goin on it. luv u lots and God bless you! *manda* ~and remember...God loves you!~
