i was dreading the fact that i had to ride the bus home today. for those of you who know me, you know i hate riding the bus. a lot of things had changed since last year though - only about 10 people riding, it dropped me off right at my street so i didn't have to walk, not so many people to intimidate me, and people i actually knew to talk to.
so i'm sitting there being my normal quiet self when this mentally disabled girl (15) sitting in front of me turns around and says hello. i say hi back and she asks if she can read her story to me. i gladly accept and she starts to read. she reads about her life, how she has a yellow lab named peyton and how her softball team won the gold medal in her tournament..."yay!" as she holds it up proud for me to see. she talked about how she was a cheerleader for 2 years and how she wants to work at a pet store when she gets older..either petsmart or petco.
i told her i also have a yellow lab and want to work at a pet store. i'm telling you we had so much in common. she was the sweetest person i've ever met. she really did make my day. God is so amazing...when we least expect it there He is to give us a little shove. i needed that...
guys, take care and live every day in expectation that something wonderful could happen at any second. God's amazing...God bless you guys. luv, *manda*
there is no god outside the imagination of the human mind.
sorry about that. i don’t mean to be an ass. i usually restrain myself when i see references to the christian god. it’s just been one of those days. peace.
