breaking the ice

Listening to: Britney Spears-Lucky
Feeling: curious
4:50. I arrived at the parking lot to the Rec.Center. I felt lonely in the vacant parking lot. People stopped coming because you see, the last couple of times we have tried to have practice the doors have remained locked. The lady that works there and drives a blue SUV finally arrived and opened up the Rec.Center doors. While walking in I heard the sound of a horn. M and Hiedi had come. We walked, or rather, slouched with each other toward the pool area. The only way we got there was by smelling the chlorine. We were all desperatley tired and well...it's hard to open your eyes that early. We tried the door and vala!. It opened. While slowly putting on our suits and taking out our caps and goggles...she came in with the news. It's one of those things that you can't do anything, and nothing anyone can say or do can make things right. Everything happens for a reason...but what is the reason behind this. It seems incredibly unfair and unjust. *sigh* I wish I could help. Nothing will help. After a 3,500 yard practice I drove quickly home. I sat down in my room and thought while playing solitair on my ipod. I eventually fell into a deep and dreamless sleep. The phone rang around 1:30. I was awakened by the sound of Brady's voice saying "Hey chels! Do you want to go to lunch with Scott and I?" Of course I said yes. "K, we'll meet you at Papa Kelsies(sp?)..We would come and get you, but we're already in town" I told him not to worry about it and hung up the phone. The next 10 minutes was spent scrambling to get ready. I threw my hair up in a lazy bun, brushed my teeth, put on clean clothes and headed towards the door. Seeing my camera on the couch I grabbed it. If the opportunity came around to take pictures, I most certainly wasn't going to miss it. I headed into town..not knowing where the heck this pizza/sandwhich place was. I'll admit it. I walked into BlockBuster to ask Emily Munk where it was. I found it after a 1/2 hour of searching. They were waiting inside and eventually M turned up to. We ate our food then went to PetsMart to look at the fish. Brady wanted more for his fish tank [it's huge by the way] After we wandered around for a while it is only understandable to realize that we got bored. I felt like climbing trees, so we went to the one place that has lots of them. Lundstrom. I brought my camera and didn't really get the chance to climb any, because..well...I was taking pictures. After about an hour of that we walked along the frozen canal. Me and Brady only had some time to talk together for about 5 minutes. It seemed longer then that. We talked about past times on the canal, sundials, and all the times he has fallen through ice only to be engulfed in frozen-breathtaking water. We walked for a while then decided to play around on these....pole..thingies stuck in the ground. It was fun to laugh at ourselves as well as laugh at Brady when he nearly fell flat on his face. Scott had to work. So we all headed home, back to our own boring lives. We keep saying how we will watch "The Bubble" and it is "officially" set in stone that we are all going over and watching it tomorrow, and if our fellow friend Scott has to work, we will invade his house anyways. I called Brady when I got home, to get Scotts cell phone number. After Scott and I talked for a little bit I spoke with Brady. He said that tomorrow "we will chill" Only he knows what that means...which sucks because I wish I knew. Come what may.
