So tonight after Living Stone a bunch, and I do mean a bunch, of us went to Applebee's in Papio to eat and talk...you know, good fellowship time, sorta. Anywho, after a hard decision of whether I wanted $1.99 chips and salsa or a $4.99 dessert, I went for the dessert. Thanks to Bobin, who let me eat some of her chips. So, yeah...I ordered the delish sizzling apple pie, and I specifically told the waitress that I wanted it to sizzle, because I had it once at the Bellevue Applebees, and it did no sizzle. She brings it out, and guess what the dessert does not do? Oh that would be sizzle. But I stuck it out, and ate the whole thing. It was good, but I know what it tastes like when it sizzles, and ugh, it wasn't what I wanted it to be.
Gosh, ok so after all of that complaining, I feel so stupid for writing that and complaining about it...especially after tonight at Living Stone we read a passage in Philippians and Philippians 2:14 reads, "Do all things without grumbling or disputing." It says it right there...we shouldn't complain about things. I'll try by best next time guys to be greatful and not complain about a dessert.
My favorite all time college basketball player Kyle Korver from the Creighton Bluejays was drafted in the second round this evening by the New Jersey Nets! I'm excited for him. He's really a great guy, he's a Christian, he has morals and values, he's way tall (6'7"), super cute, and an awesome player. The Nets are going to be in for some awesome plays and moves put on by this kid.
P.S. I've never met Kyle Korver...I've only seen him from a distance.
update: Ok guys, I just found this on the wowt.com website..
Creighton forward Kyle Korver was chosen by the New Jersey Nets as the 51st pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, then minutes later was sold to the Philadelphia 76ers.
So I guess he's not going to Jersey! He's going to Philly! The city of Brotherly Love! Yea, that means he's closer to Neb!
you were funny at a-bees. your poor not-so-sizzling dessert. ah care you crack me up.
