::Road Rules 2003 NYC::

It's early Tuesday morning and I'm back home at my dad's computer room about to type up some stuff to inform all of you about my road trip that I went on this past week. I flew to Indianapolis last Sunday (7/27) to meet up with my co-worker friend Abby and her brother Cody (from Disney thing)...and then their two friends Mandi and Danny who are brother and sister met up with us. Us five drove from their house to Carlsburg Penn. the first day and we stayed at this crappy ol' Motel 6 that night. But before we even got to the hotel Cody got pulled over for running this hidden stop sign that should have been a yield sign. The occifer who pulled us over was a prick, and he gave Cody a $104 ticket! Cody was mad! But to top that off..the officer was mad because me and Abby stuck our heads out the windows of their excursion and we took pics of his car! We didn't know it was illegal (well not really illegal, but the cop said we aren't supposed to take pictures). We woke up the next morning and drove to Hershey Penn. to visit the Hershey factory where they make all that yummy chocolate and candy! It was a cool tour and boy did it smell good! Then we were on the road at by 5 p.m. we could already see the New York City sky line! We ended up lost in lower and midtown Manhattan for over an hour, as we tried to find our way back to Jersey where our hotel was at! While we were lost driving around, we drove near the World Trade Center site, Chinatown, Times Square, Theater District..and more! It was actually kinda cool being lost, because we were able to see a bunch of stuff right away. We saw some pretty crazy things too...a homeless man peeing on the street, a movie being shot, and TONS and TONS of ALL different types of PEOPLE! The next morning we were off to the big city to walk around, shop, and sight see. And boy did we walk! We seriously walked for over 6 hours that day. I don't think my legs have ever hurt that much before. But it was worth it, because I saw tons of cool stores..and we finally reached ground zero. Knowing that two buildings (plus 5 others)used to scrape the skies and soar to the heavens had been removed from that area by terrorists kinda hit me that WOW this really did happen and WOW this is what is left. A bare open area with a quiet solemn sense to it. Everyone was really quiet as they just looked at plaqes and looked into the huge whole in the ground. A man was even playing "Amazing Grace" on his flute. I remember being on the verge of shedding a few tears, but I seemd to resist. I would go on and on talking about the vacation, but I'm pretty tired right now, so hopefully I can write more later...or I'll talk to y'all soon and show you my couple de-billion pictures that I took (I really only took 300 sumptin). I forgot..I will say that I went to the TODAY SHOW..and WAS ON IT! We taped it..you can see me like 5 times...I'll let y'all see it k?! Peace!
