Listening to: the web room guy's selection again
Feeling: guilty
Guilty of spending impulsively, or if not exactly impulsively (improving bargaining skills) a lot. Sweet stuff though. Seriously. Get off your butt and come to Pokhara RIGHT NOW.
Today we got up and ready early and quick, and went for a fab breakfast at Once Upon a Time, and then rented a boat and took some fruits and pani out around the lake. We passed the paddle around and rowed pretty much ALL THE WAY around the lake. After a bit Nicole (who was SURE we were going to tip over every 5 seconds) and I lay down crosswise across the boat and dangled our feet in the water... Closest thing to swimming we've done since we left lost Estados Unidos. Sooo fun. So about 30-45 minutes before the end I decided I had to pee worse than a racehorse and spent the last 25-40 minutes in dire misery until finally taking the paddle from poor, tired Avinash and using my emergency adrenaline rush to bring us into shore like a crew captain. Whoo, biceps!!
Mama had to go to some lunch then, he's been out ever since, so we've been on our own all day. Best way to be, man. I never get to do this. Ever. So we went out for lunch by ourselves, and then went walking and shopping, and saw the dam and the King's summer palace. Nicole's convinced he wants to meet her and she can just walk right in. If I flash the guard for her so she can climb the wall. Yep. Foolproof. :x I told her everyone wants to meet her, even if they don't know it yet. So don't ruin her hopes, pretty please with sugar on top and strawberries?!?!
We bought some cool wraparound pants, and shirts, and skirts, and hats... Fo' sho'. I love hanging out with my cousins. They're the coolest ever. All of them. Tons of crazy illogical jokes and fun times that not everyone appreciates.
We walked around, up and down the street until after dark, and then went to the "department store" (a streetcorner necessities shop) and bought some snacks for "dinner." Mwahahaha. So yeah. We're at the hotel now, waiting to work up an appetite, and feeling guilty because they all try to convince us not to use this internet room. "Too expensive, we have email at our house." It's not as easy as they say it is though. We should hit some Kathmandu internet cafes. Haha.
