The car saga is over! Finally! I -thought- I registered my car in the Salt Lake Valley since I bought it down here in Layton a year ago. I got a safety inspection, tire rotation, new filter, and oil change in Cache Valley (it was convenient) for like $100. And a new battery for $74 at Autozone because I really needed one. Then I came back to SLC to renew my registration, but I learned that this valley requires an Emissions (and Safety) test also. So I went and got Emissions test and it turns out that I registered it in Cache Valley, so I didn't need Emissions test. $30 wasted really. Grr. I shoulda put two and two together when my registration didn't come in the mail at the SLC house and the fact that my registration said Cache Valley. Turns out my parents got my renewal papers so I just got online and registered it...again in Cache Valley (merely so I don't have to do emissions prolly ever again; I'm cheating). Think I'll remember that next year when I go to renew it again? Yeah, me either. $126.50 to register my 2001 car. Sheesh. And $100 a month for insurance. I spent like $400.00 just on maintenance and registration for my car in past two months. Now I don't have to worry about all that stuff until next year. Phew. Cept for some fluid changes, of course. There's a reason I couldn't afford a car in college. BUT next paycheck, I will OWN that car! Boo yah! (Prolly just jinxed myself and it will die or something after I own it) P.S. I was at the store, getting more BC, and I kept running into this black man, Will, and we always kinda ended up chattin a bit each time we saw each other. The last time I saw him he said he was a rock collector and he gave me three rocks. He said I was such a nice girl for talking to a stranger. (I dont think we should encourage that tho....) Two rocks from Goblin Valley and one from the West Desert. (Is that legal?) I kinda feel...special that a stranger would trust me with...a part of him, something he seems passionate about. But again, why am I always the target for niceness and strangers? Well, now it's time to make a cake for Grandmas birfday party morrow. Everyone is coming! And then Kirri is getting married in a week! Ah! I can't believe it!
