I got a Christmas Tree!

And, its white! I'm different!

Juss throwing that out there.

I'm kinda tired of the same old fake green tree look. I wanted a white one. And this is the time that I get to make my own traditions! And it starts with a different color tree and different color ornaments. I don't like the colors green and red together and I simply dont like the color red!

My first tree. Well the first one that is taller than me. I've had those little 3 foot ones before cuz I didn't have a house to put it in, but now I do! I couldn't wait I juss had to put it up. The cashier says "Yer gonna go home and put that up right now aren't you?" I'm like uh huh. Why wait? I had other things I was supposed to do, but I got curious and pulled out the tree. I looked for a tree skirt but only found the colors gree and red, even white would work but nooo. So I put my pink blanket around the bottom. :D then I put up the bigger elegant balls on first and decided it needs more pink. I found a package of all pink ornaments to use on my tree. I don't suppose they make any tree toppers the color pink eh? I had to move stuff around to make it fit in the corner of the front room so the dog wouldn't attack it with his tail, but it worked! Its white with pink ornaments! Yes thats right! And its bonita!

Sarah says its "modern". Which is totally what I'm going for. That was a slam dunk compliement, thank you Sarah. I see these older modern women rich enough to have the gorgeous giant decorative ball ornaments and gorgeous flocked trees (that look professionally decorated) and their lil Christmas scene juss looks perfect, down to the poreclain statues of the manger scene or something they have set up so elegantly and the perfectly wrapped gifts and giant bows. I wanna like those women! You can't have that spectular scene set with screaming children in your home. mwhaha!

The other day I was thinking about my savings accounts and wondering if I'd have enough money for a house and if I would need a car before I needed or house or vice versa, knowing I could only pay for one and not both. Priorities. I started wondering about house pricings so when I got bored I looked up prices for condos and townhomes first and just seeing the pictures I could ....picture my life, my style...ya know? Picture me living in there and my things. Picture the type of person I want to be and what others see me as. Something different than Mindys way of life... It was kinda cool, but it does not trump the stress of having to buy a house/condo at all.

Renee has set up some type of Bday part for Gma on Sat at some chinese place in Rose Park. She told Patsy to invite me cuz I'm long distance (yes!) and now theres lots of miscommunications cuz Renee planned it. I -think- we are supposed to show up at the chinese place and surprise Gma. The only thing I don't see happening is Renee loreing Gma out of the house on a Sat night to dine out (she doesn't go out, and she certainly doesn't go out for food). But whatev. I'll be there to support whatever happens. I got her a carpet/rug for her kitchen when ppl come in from the snow. She has an old ugly one she uses that slids all over, but this new one is...prittier and won't slid around so much. We'll see if she accepts/uses it.

Meanwhile I have tried this thing called "indexing" which has become popular with those that are family history geeks. I'm not so much into the family history "research", but I hear indexing is more data entry, far more exciting to me, data entry is like my dream job. (and since my current job is kinda slow, I shall have a hobby!) But alas, if you could not read your bday cards that were sent from you Grandmother as a kid or even now simply cuz it was in cursive (which seems to be another language nowadays), then this is prolly not the project for you (me). Granted we learned cursive in grade school and promptly forgot it in high school, but kids now days dont even learn it in school I bet. We'll be lucky if they can write normally with grammar let alone cursive. In other words, so far its hard. But I will keep trying, never really considered data entry as a challenge, but here we go!
