Feeling: beat

Two days I ago I decided to bike for 30 minutes, then the inbetween of biking and stairs one for another 30 minutes. And stupidly, as those who pay lots of money to find new ways to hurt themselves do, I decided to go to the Kick and Lift class. Those classes are -intense- man. I can't kick randomly and hold weights at arms length for a whole hour while jumping up and down. But I thought the hour of prep before would lessen the pain I had later after class. I guess I'll never know if it helped cuz I'm still in pain. Most of the class knew that I was new at this and most noticed my beet red face whenever I do cardio and most seem slightly worried about my health and suggested less cardio/easier classes on other days of the week. I think cardio is what I need. And no, I don't feel as bad as I -look-. Its just the curse of the constant red face.

I think a lil' part of me died that day. Dehydration and a long hot shower didn't help. I went to the store to get BC, milk and mascara. Weird combo. Went home and took a shower and did the laundry and fell into bed vowing never to do that much again in one day.

Yesterday the boss was back in the office so I actually had some stuff to do, a nice change. Gave me that multitask feeling I love. I totally forget about my VT assignment and sent out a mass of texts asking if ppl visited their girls in December. I am proud to say in one day I got all but two. 7 out of 9. Granted they werent exactly 'good' answers, but answers none the less. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to hand this paper physically to the president or coordinator so... I'm gonna scan it and send it to both of them. I'll keep trying on those last two today and then I quit. I'm going home this weekend. I haven't actually had to 'call' any of them yet. Texting is a wonderful invention.

My body still hurts, but I made it home and cooked me some noodles with shrimp and opened a beer and then laid down for like 40 minutes before going to class. I had the hardest time concentrating on what she was saying. I know the basic idea of her lesson and it was really good and what parts I did hear inspired me, but my mind was still in dreamland where I had been the last 40 minutes. I had a thought about taking pictures with my dog simply cuz he is getting older and he might have some type of cancer and die soon. Anyways... random.

Then I went to forum and hoped I could pay attention to that more than I did the last class. I had no idea who he was and didnt even pay attention to the introduction and he didn't ...look like he had anything interesting to say. Turns out he was a seminary/institute teacher so it turned out really good. He was really using the 'classroom' setting they tell the speakers so its not just a preachy talk. He asked all who were students to stand, then all who had careers, then those who went on a mission, and those who were married or engaged. That last one was kinda awkward so he continued "and all those who hope to be engaged please stand...." haha. A couple of boys stood up and quickly sat down, but one in particular stood up an awkward amount of time and slowly sat down. He had said something just before sitting down, not sure what, but then from the back a girl pipes up "I'm available!"

He also mentioned that he was driving with his wife one night, and the fact that he cant drive and laugh at the same time, apparently cuz he got pulled over. He mentioned his wife is the only one that can make him laugh that hard. He was still laughing when the cop came to the window. The cop asked if he knew why he was getting pulled over and he tries not to laugh anymore and says "no". The cop tells him he got pulled over for drinking under the influence. He started laughing and all he could think to do was point to his wife and say "Its all her fault". Anyway, the cop realized he wasn't drunk and all was well.

He has like 6 daughters and he's always been trying to get them to play some type of sport. One day one of his girls came home from school and said "Lets play Ball dad" and he was all for it and excited, "Alright, what kind of ball? basketball? baseball? soccer ball?" She says "No, lets play Ball" and he was confused "mm alright.. how do you play that?" She says, "I stand over by the wall and you come ask me to dance!" :D That story was cute.

It makes it more fun when they share personal stories about their lives. I liked his main subject tho also. The fact that if you ask a group of religious people what they -believe- and then ask them if those principles -apply- to them and you get two different answers. "I believe that God answers prayers, but I don't entirely believe He listens to me". An interesting, but true concept. We are losing confidence even in the things we believe wholeheartedly. We understand them, we can explain them to others, we believe them, but we have a hard time applying those beliefs. I hope all the other forums will be just as interesting and entertaining as this one was. I hope they are good enough to be remembered the next day.

Back to the gym today and then off to pick up the boys from Tae Kwon Doe(?) and then watch Min break down after her meeting. Yup, thats what I'm here for. Its the only way I know how to help.
