Day Three of Vacation: Arches National Park, Moab

We didn't like the second hotel much, with the lack of english communication and all, so we weren't gonna stick around. We left Richfield and headed to Arches National Park for about 3 hours. It wasn't a bad drive on I-70 East, just reminds you that you are in the middle of no where with no services for like 110 miles.

We didn't have enough gas to go straight to Arches National Park and just play like I wanted to so we just went to the visitors center and watched a orientation movie and browsed the shop before heading to Moab to check in a hotel and get gas. We ended up going down the street in search for food and went into several gift shops on the way all afternoon. I found a hoodie for cheap. Yay. Mom seemed to be shopping for everyone and their dog. And Dad was set on getting a catus....dont ask me. It was nice doing what we wanted with no schedule.

We finally ended up going to park around 6pm to purchase things and headed up to the Delicate Arch (the one I wanted to see first and foremost) before it got dark. We decided we could make the 3 mile completely uphill battle and the straight downhill on the way back. We almost died going up, but we made it, eventually. It was hot. We had like 3 cameras being used the whole time. I was definitely going to get evidence of that climb. We didn't make it back down til 9pm. It was worth it, but I don't think any of us will be able to move morrow.

It was perfect really, the timing of it all, not for the pictures, but getting there before the sunset and watching it go down while at the Arch. Then coming down in the cooler weather just as the last rays of sun were drifting away and then relying on the moonlight and the stars the rest of the way. Bonita.
