Night #6 - Saturday

I was listed as the surgeon again.. I simply said "I love you, but I'm not going to do that again." So they assigned me Shock Doc. Again a huge line of ppl for make up so they just based me and asked an artist to quickly air brush me and out I go just in time to get to my room and start.

It was another one of those roles that felt...redundant and not...so special. I'd pop out from behind a curtain when ppl set off my sensor for my eletric fence. For some odd and slightly stupid reason I decided on the phrase of "shocky shocky" when I'd pop out to scare them. And I somehow developed a british accent during the whole thing too. Embarrassing. And then I had nothing else to say after that so...awkward pause. "Time for your shock treatment!" Then I got a battery powered metal against metal grid on the window I got to create sparks with. That was kinda awesome cuz I didnt think it worked b/c of the girl last night. She apparently shocked so much it melted some wires and stuff.

It was funner cuz I could walk around more, I had a sensor to let me know when ppl were coming, I had more props, I had less things to say and less screams tho. Everyone would get lost in the next room and came back to mine and find a door to go through that they shouldn't and I'd have to redirect them while attempting to stay in character. I had a hard time going back and forth from shocking on the metal grid and hiding to pop out at ppl. I couldn't do both so it was all about timing. Kinda sucked.

I do have to say the room next to me was....totally awesome. I soo want his job sometime next week. He had a sensor too in a pitch black room cept like a really faint Tickets sign and a fake door so ppl would try to go toward that door and he'd either set off the sensor himself or others will and its just like a stobe light flashing a couple times and he'd like run at them or come out from a corner toward them. People running and screaming in the dark and he controlled the only light really so they couldn't find the real door unless the strobe/eletric shock thing went on and he'd come at them from different angles. haha.

At one point he was on the ground near the door and they wouldn't see him at first in the flashing light til he was like crawling towards them and they'd scream and run out the room back into mine. I have to say I had a plugged up line for almost the rest of the night simply cuz ppl wouldn't go in the room cuz he was by the door attacking them. It was awesome. One group of tongans went in there and the guys used the light and made their way around the black lunging figure on the floor, but they left one girl behind still at the doorway. She was totally freaking out "I dont know where to go!" she didn't know where to step and didn't want him to touch her and blahblah. She seriously would NOT go in the room cuz she didn't know where he was everytime the light came on. Its was awsomely funny to see her freak out. I heard lots of guys screaming their heads off in there too. I can just imagine the chaos of a group of ppl in a pitch black room and the actor trying to move or not touch ppl or not get stepped on during all that.

Yeah, I felt like my room was an awkward segway before a huge line where nobody went into the next room for reasons unknown to those in the back of the line. So the other rooms around me were totally awesome. I got a few actual screams and scares. I hit the shock window while a girl was walking past and she grabbed her head and ducked like hit the floor, she's a smart girl. The morgue girl got more scares after I told her to scream when she popped out. Ppl react to noises more cuz they know an action is coming already. The girl in the insanity hall would scream the same way over and over so I knew ppl were coming to my room soon.

We had the stupid arrogant people come through like last night thinking they all funny. One girl like screamed behind me while I was hitting the window. I'd look from over my right or left shoulder as ppl walked past as I hit the window and she screamed directly behind me and I hit the window and turned toward and they all thought I turned toward her cuz she scared me and she had the stupidest laugh ever. She didn't scare me....seriously screaming is...normal to me now. That's exactly what I was looking for really, but it doesn't scare me. It was stupid. Then I was behind a box thing and I knew they had already saw me and I was just gonna act like I was waiting for them not pop out at them and this guy put his hand around the box and in my face when he thought I'd show myself. And I was going to show my face, not like pop out at them, but he was like trying to scare me before I popped out? I dunno. Seriously tho? You are trying to scare the actors in their own element when they've done this for how long? It was really stupid.

But at the end of the night I got the Actress of the Week prize. Two coupon things for ....very rare food places or random things you don't ever do.... I got a Gandolfos coupon and a rock climbing coupon. woo woo. I'm beginning to wonder if these prizes are pity prizes since I've gotten so much recognizition this week. "Aw heres a candy bar for you, you tried so hard" So even with all these prizes I feel like I totally suck at acting. Go fig.

Another shower and bedtime at like 2am again just to get up and go to church and my mind screaming "why aren't you moving?!" at 8:30am. A place where we dont scream and scare each other, we just talk about Jesus.
