Feeling: accomplished

Monday was spent looking for a new job for the boy. After hearing all the new rules and issues they are having its juss..ridiculous. I didn't want to be involved in a company for all those reasons, besides the drama, but the 'over time'/no overtime, lay off/no lay off for 'awhile', raise of $1 for a whole lot more work/responsibility (more than worth a $1) or stay the same pay for less work, future unknown raise after a 60 day period, 2 week notice/no notice, just leave, meetings about to threaten ppl to work harder/faster/more efficiently instead of positive/encourage atmosphere, "bad attitude hall monitors" there to spy on the complainers and fire them, etc. Juss a few of the issues I've heard about his work. Ridiculous. Childish. I'm sure they monitor Facebook to find comments like these so they can fire said employee. Anyways job hunting shall commence.

Tuesday we went up to Ensign Peak with Max and watched the sun go down and the planes go up. We played sudoku up there too. It was a nice hike. Nice time of day. The boy had never been so he learned about Brigham climbing the mountain/hill so he could get high enough to see the city and start planning the buildings. "This is the place". Evan called it a version of Sim City. Oy.

Wednesday the boy went to play with his kids and I went home to shower, eat, and I scrapbooked the rest of the night while watching TV. Nothing really good on TV anymore. It's been so long since I've kept track of the seasons/series on TV, at least 6 months. Keeps making me wonder what I'd do without Evan to play with after work, although it is nice sometimes to juss come home and do nothing by myself (or not). He came back around 10:30pm and the first thing he said was a somewhat stern "Baby!" Me:*blink blink* He continues "You are a single girl in a scary neighborhood you have to lock the door!" Me: *blink blink* It was so cute how he cared. He either doesn't notice things like that normally or he doesn't care enough to express his opinion, so it was nice to see that side of him.

He lost his hair trimmer thing to 'shave' his face so he's been using my pink razors lately, and not that I want to save as many razors as I can before they reach his face, I'm sure it would feel better on his face if he got a trimmer right? Am I right? But this boy has avoided going to the store with me all week (mainly with work) so he hasn't put any effort into getting a trimmer for himself. I'd make suggestions looking at ad's for razors that are on sale and he'd have his own specifications. I learned those things can cost up to $150 for a razor/shaver thing! But I was only looking for a trimmer, but still that was still up to $20-30 for a trimmer. So all the sales in the ad's didn't seem very ...cheap so I decided to try Target and see what they had. Boy did I learn a lot about razors reading all those packages. "If I were a boy..." But none the less! I found a cordless, rechargeable, with attachments trimmer just for my boy! For only $15, thank you very much. Turns out it was the exact same one/kind/brand he had lost so it was almost an identical replacement. Woot woot! Point for Wednesday! He was happy.

Another accomplishment I made this week was getting my sister a Bday card ON her Bday. Am I amazing or what? I got to the store and picked a card, took me way over my lunch time break to do so, but I finally picked one. I had a brillant idea of putting pictures in the card and signing for me and Max, didn't know about the boy... I had stamps so I juss wrote it in and got it in the pick up box before the 2pm deadline so it would go out that day and get to her in the next two days. Boo yah! I couldn't do that for everyone in the family like Gma, but I got ONE birthday card out this year, no room for anymore this year tho. Okay maybe I'll remember Claines. Maybe. Doubt it.

Now for the next accomplishment to be made this week... getting Scotchmallow chocolates from See's Candies. *drool* I've been craving them all week. I thought it'd go away after a day or two, but its been like 5 days and I still want them. Period must be coming. Must. have. chocolates.
