To want or not to want, that is the question!

Feeling: overjoyed
My dad is offering me a new bike, what person wouldn't want a 200 dollar bike? Me... well kinda. My current bike is the best ever! But is ... several best evers, because its in pieces. Well not in pieces, but broke, let me list: my chain broke for the third time this year, my brakes slide around on my handlebars, I currently stole my dad's front wheel(my mom ran over my bike and crushed it), I have a third of my gears, and I have no left thumb shifter. So the question is for me do I want a new bike? See I really really really really really really like my current bike, it fits me perfectly is light as a feather, can off road, but still goes ... well fast, and is cheaper to fix than to get a new bike. But on the other hand, I like the other bike, but I haven't riden it yet and it would be easier than fixing my other bike, and I don't know if maybe I'd like it better than my current bike. Plus then I won't have to wait for us to fix it. What do I do? I love my bike so much, but... (well not love) but... I want a bike that won't crash when I'm going 30 down a hill. (I don't wear a helmet) Bye like!?!

do what you feel is right, if he is willing to spend the money, and you don't want to fix it do it. if you just love that old thing that much then repair it, even though, it seems much easier and better off (no to mention safer) to get the new one.
xo
I say you get the new bike, but still keep your old bike, then sell the new one for $200 :) and keep the money and buy something else:) or use some of the money from the new bike to fix up the old one8) muhhahaa. Mmmm welp, i'm weird:)
