School project that makes me laugh :) Oh my god, today's practice was like, the worstest ever. Not that the rowing was that miserable. It was that is was freaking 38 degrees out. and we were on water. and it was windy. But the bad part? JAMIE COULD NOT STOP SPLASHING ME. God, how hard is it to handle an oar so it doesn't shoot a freaking freezing cold huge splash of water on someone? And I couldn't do anything about it because I had to row. And I got so completely soaked from head to toe. I'm serious, my hair was wet, my shirt (it was white, much to my dismay) was completely soaked, my shorts were completely soaked (yes, we have to wear shorts while rowing becuase pants could get caught in the slide) were completely soaked. my legs worst off though. completely soaked and freezing. on the way up carrying the boat, everyone could tell that I was so much more soaked and freezing than everyone else around me. I couldn't stop shaking. it hurt me and was nearly impossible to move my wrists. and to move my fingers was nearly impossible. I was just so cold. Everyone was asking me if I was okay. Lindsay was like (when we were carrying up the boat) "OH MY GOD KELLY, LOOK AT YOUR LEGS" and so then, everyone else did. they were completely red the entire way. It then occured to me that it hurt to move my legs. I couldn't barely move. Then to make it worse? Kelsey Northrup comes up to me and says "I know just how you feel" No, I don't think she did. So I said that. "Um, no, Kelsey, you actually don't." "Um, yeah, Kelly, I do" "No, you don't. I got one hundred percent soaked, you can SEE how soaked I got. You don't even look wet. look at my legs, look at yours. I got more wet and more cold today." "Yes I did Kelly. I got really really wet" "No Kelsey, you don't know how I feel. Even my hair got soaked." "SO DID MINE!" At this I wasn't going to listen to. I just walked away. You see, this is why she has no friends. But anyway, I'm totally sick too. I can barely breathe. but mom won't let me miss school unless I'm either throwing up or have a fever of over a hundred. And going to crew and school is just making me sicker. I would rather erg a 10k than repeat today's practice.
