Yesterday was a really good, sunny Sunday. It's been my first Sunday off in a few weeks (even though I didn't want/need it... it's only becuz JCP is massively cutting part time hours). Austin and I went to Riverfest and got sunburned. I look quite lobster-ish. After the festival, we went to Joe's Crab Shack for Lauren's surprise going away/graduation party. The surprise was mildly ruined becuz everyone showed up at the same time but she was happy nonetheless! I was in charge of getting UP ppl there and a few ppl showed up so I'm glad. It was a really great 2 hours of reminiscing, eating mussels and talking about how Lauren is OCD and talks to herself. "EDIT-UNDO, EDIT-UNDO!!" haha I'm going to miss my capitan so much. We really have been a great team and I'm scared that I won't be able to live up to the greatness that she was this year. Well I'm going to get in contact with Andrew and Reisha and see if they want a editorial position. It's important that I get a good right hand man (woman) in that position becuz they will help me keep my sanity. Cuz I tend to lose it constantly. lol This year has had it's UPs and DOWNs but it helped me realize that growing up isn't as hard or difficult or sucky as I thought it would definitely be. Being in charge of one of the most respected college newspapers in Texas is going to be the biggest thing to happen to me probably in my lifetime. (hopefully not, but who knows) I want to be everything I can be... everthing that's expected of me and even more. I want to be it, man. IT.
