Well, happy new year to all!! Let me back up b/c I havnt really written in a couple of days. I cant think of whats been going on! I've pretty much been hanging out at home and looking up jobs online and that was my life for the latter part of the week. New Years Eve I was asked to do a couple of things, but did none of them. First Todd & Stephanie asked me to hang out with them & Emilee, then Marci & Stephanie wanted me to go with them & Cary to Pigeon Forge & get a hotel, Leslie wanted me to have a drink and bring in the New Years with her & Katie @ her house, and Emily asked me to go out to eat & bowling with her & Nathan and some people. But I kinda blew everyone off & had some "Kerri Time". It was the first New Years Eve in 7 years that I havnt "done anything". But...I kinda enjoyed it. If I had to pick out of all of those I would have been more apt to go to Todd & Stephanies.
I did however in the earlier eve go out with Lorrie Duggan. I aint seen her since October. SOOO she picked me up and we went to Walmart, then Krystals to eat, and then picked up Christopher & drove around for a lil while. SHe dropped me off at like 8:30 or 9. MY sister Debra called me to wish me a Happy New Year which was super sweet..I love her so much!!! We are hopefully planning on me coming to visit her again soon!
When I got home, Mom was asleep & Sara was at work so I did some things online and then Sara came home at 11:15 and we made nonalcoholic strawberry daquiris and then watched the remaining 20 minutes of the countown in Time Square and watched the ball drop. I felt naked without any horns to blow or confetti to throw...but oh well. Sara went to bed and I stayed up and worked on my New Years Resolution..well my main one anyways. But first I read 2 chapters of my "Your Best Life Now" book outloud to mom and then I started the resolution which is to read the bible straight through from Genesis to Revelations in a whole year. So...I read the first 3 chapters of Genesis outloud to mom and then we discussed it shortly and then I went to bed. My other resolutions are to
1. Be more positive & have more self-confidence
2. Be more Christ-like, shining the love of God out to everyone I know
3. Exercise/Walk more
I know its a long shot that resolutions are kept..but I am starting out 2005 with a positive attitude with faith in God and faith in myself...and I have a very good feelinga bout this year. God blessed me so much in 2004 with so much, that I cant wait to see what 2005 has in store!! =)
Today was a good day. The first day of the new year started out awesome. I met Heather at her mom & dads house and they were having a party for the TENNESSEE/TEXAS A&M game. So I had some party food snacks and then Heather & I took a walk around Cumberland Estates and talked and stuff. It felt GREAT outside. After the game was over (THE VOLUNTEERS KICKED BUTT!!!!) I drove Heather & I to West Town Mall. We shopped around for about an hour & a half or so and then I dropped her off at home. After that I went to my Aunt Libby's b/c she had called me earlier today asking me to come chill w/her & my aunt Peggy but it turned out Peggy had plans and couldnt so it was just me & Lib. I got there around 6. She took us to wash her car and then to "Chop's Grill" to eat and she paid, toooo sweet! It was great food and we had good conversation. Then we went to Walmart and shopped. After that we went back to her house and watched "Touched By An Angel" for a lil while and then I left at 10. Tomorrow is Sunday and Im going to get up & go to church. I asked Marci and Steph to go with me so they are. :0) yaaaay! Im excited b/c I havnt been to church since I went to Kristis church in Texas..b/c when I got back I was sick for the first 2 Sundays...then after that I worked for 3 Sundays and then last week I was just lazy. But Im glad to get to go back~ its been more than a month since Ive attended church, and I need it, and miss it!!! Well...thats all for now.. bye!!!!
