Why do we insist on saying things that we dont mean? Whether its a lie to make others feel better, or to protect them from the truth bc it hurts too much. Or just bc we dont want to have to deal with the bullshit that goes along with telling the truth. Or we tell someone something to shut them up, or to buy ourselves time to come up with an even bigger lie so that we can make ourselves look better. Or we tell someone that we love them, when we know that we dont. I will never understand this. But i suppose that it has something to do with people being afraid of the truth. Being threatened by something that we know we cant escape will make us do some really stupid shit. grrr. i hate it when people lie.
