Listening to: hindi songs on shuffle
Feeling: blah
so i got all the hindi songs i have on itunes and made a playlist. and put it on shuffle. i so did not even know i had most of these. because im cool like that.
so jordan's here, im so happy. even though i don't get to do anything bc im apparently STILL sick...which is not true but wtf im getting past it slowly.
everyone's out seeing max's play right now, which might i add, is amazing. but still. everyone's out. and im here, writing, and reading the books i bought today. kathy might come over for a movie or something. idk. maybe i can go out tomorrow? knowing this house/family/hell... let's not get our hopes up. i know my parents are doing what they think is best for me, but it doesnt feel that way.
anyway so last night was stephen's bday party. which was waaay fun. kate and catchphrase....C.S. Lewis was amazing. good call. :) and of course, present-opening was rather amusing as well.
and today was seeds poetry reading...you know, i actually decided right this second that i dont wanna get into that, it'll just get me more riled up. but i do need to say thank you to marissa beaith and eric pei, who came to read for me, and arent even in seeds. so thanks to both of you. and naturally, since i was at B&N, (you know me and that store) i couldnt leave without books. so i got this science magazine SOLELY because its got the indian flag on the cover and talks abt the advancements india is making in some areas. and i got the U.S. News America's Best Colleges 2005 Edition. then this book called babyji. its about an indian girl...so chick-lit, but i think thats what i need right now. and to top it off, chicken soup for the romantic soul. go me.
and now im gonna go get stuff done like a good person. and forget about what's going on around me. because it just feels like the entire world is going on without me. everyone's further up in life. and im here, in the same place i was a week ago. and its good to feel like someone can't go on without you. but that's not now. because the world is still going. which in a way is goood i guess...
hope everyone's three-day weekend is going well!
love nish
I'm glad I got to see you last night! (and meet Jordan too)
